They could sell $200M but couldn't deliver it. We rebuilt the back office so they could.

Not only is he an absolute wealth of knowledge, but he is so quick to problem-solve and consistently goes above and beyond for clients. Bastien frequently went out of his way to explain and provide documentation to guide me.

The situation

Sales were never the problem: the company could book far more work than it could deliver. Invoices were built by hand from spreadsheets by four people doing nothing else. Every adjuster's state licence had to be checked manually before they could be placed, which slowed hiring and carried legal risk. A newly acquired contents-claims business added a whole new process on top.

What I built

  • Org moved from Salesforce Classic to Lightning, with pages tailored to each team
  • Invoicing connected to accounting and to the main customer's SAP Ariba; payroll to Paycom
  • Adjuster licence checks automated against the national licensing database
  • Adjuster portal for self-service onboarding and billing
  • Contents-claims process built: listing, valuation, cash or replacement, vendor sourcing
  • Custom code rewritten on one pattern, all automation moved to Flow

Stack

Salesforce · Experience Cloud · Tray.io · Paycom · QuickBooks · SAP Ariba

Results

  • Invoicing went from about a thousand invoices a week by hand to an automated flow built for tens of thousands a day. The four people moved to higher-value work. Nobody was let go.
  • Licence checks went from days to minutes, and from reactive to proactive, with reminders before exams and renewals. Adjusters preferred working with them over competitors.
  • Fewer invoicing errors and faster payment from their largest customer.
  • Still running: the partner supported it for another year or two, then it moved in-house.
